This experience is designed for anyone who wants to try scuba for the first time or doesn’t have certification yet, even without any swimming or diving background.
You’ll learn the basics, practice in the pool, and then dive into the ocean up to 12m to explore vibrant coral reefs filled with turtles, sharks, rays, eels, and tropical fish.
With a maximum of two divers per instructor, you’ll enjoy a private and personalized introduction to scuba, focused entirely on your comfort and experience underwater.
Minimum 10 years old
You must complete a standard PADI medical questionnaire
No alcohol or hangover before the dive
No flying for at least 18 hours after your last dive
Morning Dive: 08:00 – 11:30 AM
Check-in and briefing start at 08:00, followed by a short pool session to get familiar with the equipment and breathing techniques.
Around 09:30, we head out by boat for your ocean dive and return to the dive center around 11:00–11:30 AM.
Midday Dive: 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Check-in and briefing start at 11:30, with the pool session right after.
We leave for the dive around 12:30 PM and return to the dive center around 2:00–2:30 PM.
Times may vary slightly depending on sea conditions and group size.

Do I need any experience or swimming skills?
No experience or swimming skills required! We start in shallow water, teach you step by step, and make sure you feel confident before going deeper..
Is scuba diving safe?
Yes! Scuba diving is very safe when done under proper supervision. At Gili Scuba Diving, all dives follow PADI safety standards, equipment is regularly maintained, and our team ensures you’re comfortable and confident before entering the water. We always keep group sizes small and start in shallow, calm conditions to make your experience both safe and enjoyable.
Can I continue to the PADI Open Water Course after this?
Yes! If you decide to continue your diving journey, the Discover Scuba Diving fee will be deducted from your PADI Open Water Course price when you book it with Gili Scuba Diving.
