PADI Specialty Courses at Gili Scuba Diving are designed to help certified divers keep learning, build confidence, and explore the kind of diving they enjoy most.
Whether you want to go deeper, stay longer, improve your buoyancy, take better underwater photos, or experience dives like wreck or night diving, each specialty adds real skill and experience in the water. With a maximum of 2 divers per instructor, every course stays private, hands-on, and personal.
Most specialties include 2 to 4 dives and are built around real learning at your pace, not just certification.
PADI Specialty Courses
Deep Diver – Go Down to 40 Meters
This course is for divers ready to explore deeper reefs, walls, and wrecks — safely and with full awareness. Over 4 dives, you’ll learn how depth affects color, pressure, and air consumption, how to recognize nitrogen narcosis, and how to plan and manage deep dives properly. Great for adventure-seekers or anyone considering technical diving in the future.
Enriched Air (Nitrox) – Stay Down Longer
One of the most popular specialties worldwide — and for good reason. Nitrox allows you to enjoy longer bottom times and shorter surface intervals, especially on repetitive dives. In this mostly dry course (no dives required), you’ll learn how to analyze tanks, plan nitrox dives, and use your dive computer safely. Perfect for dive trips and liveaboards.
Night Diver – A Whole New World After Dark
Night diving is peaceful, mysterious, and full of surprises. With 3 night dives, you’ll learn how to use underwater lights, navigate in the dark, and spot marine life that hides during the day — like hunting octopus, eels, and crustaceans. It’s a completely different way to experience familiar sites.
Search & Recovery Diver – Find What’s Lost
Want to level up your dive skills in a real, hands-on way? This course teaches you how to search for and retrieve lost objects underwater. You’ll practice using search patterns, tying underwater knots, and lifting items to the surface with a lift bag — over 4 dives. It’s fun, practical, and builds serious underwater awareness.
Wreck Diver – Explore the Past
Shipwrecks are time capsules — and they’re also some of the most exciting dive environments out there. Over 4 dives, you’ll learn how to navigate around (and sometimes inside) wrecks, how to avoid hazards, and how to use reels and lines for safe exploration. If you’re curious about history or just love a challenge, this one’s for you.
Underwater Photography – Capture the Magic
Take your memories home with you — and learn how to take better photos underwater, no matter what camera you use. We’ll teach you composition, lighting, and steady control in the water. You’ll get hands-on practice during 2 dives, plus feedback and editing tips. Whether you’re brand new or already shooting, you’ll improve fast.
