Gili Scuba didn’t start as a business.
It started with a feeling — the first breath underwater.
I’m Emir — and Gili Scuba grew out of my journey through diving, travel, and years of teaching around the world.
One dive changed everything. What was meant to be just an experience turned into something much deeper — a connection to the ocean, to freedom, and to a different way of living.
What started as travel turned into something more — teaching, sharing, and building a life around diving. Not just collecting certifications, but understanding people: how they feel underwater, how they learn, and how much their experience depends on who is guiding them.
That understanding became the foundation of everything that followed.
Why We Do It Differently
Because diving can be two very different things.
It can be rushed, crowded, and impersonal.
Or calm, intentional, and something you truly feel.
After seeing both sides, there was no question which one mattered.
Building Gili Scuba
When Gili Scuba came back to life, it wasn’t perfect. It was quiet, almost forgotten — just a place with potential.
What it became was built from the ground up. Step by step. With intention behind every detail.
From the way we teach, to the way we connect with people, to the overall experience — everything was shaped with a clear vision in mind.
Not to be the biggest dive center.
But to be the one people remember.
Our Philosophy
Everything here is built around one simple idea:
Quality over quantity.
Small groups. Real attention. Experiences built around the person — not the schedule.
This is not just a system — it’s a standard we don’t compromise on.
Our Team
The team here is built differently.
All of the instructors you will meet started their journey right here — trained, guided, and developed within the same philosophy you experience as a diver.
That means every person you dive with carries the same values, the same attention to detail, and the same approach to teaching.
